Big Game #2

Everyone had a good time at the last one, and this game should be even more fun. I will be reff'ing this game, and I promise to do everything within my powers to ensure you have a good time.

The game will be very simple in its play, two sides going head to head, battling it out for dominance. There will be no medics. We do have a twist…Each team will have two re-insertion points, one fixed at the main base, and the other one will be mobile. Yes, I said mobile. When one side pushes the other all the way back to their base, we will stop play for 15 minutes, reload and reset the game.

Instead of  medics, each team will have a mobile re-insertion point. One player from each side (called the “Gate Keeper), will carry a pole with a fag on it. We will call this pole the “Gate”. The Gate may be moved anywhere on the field of play to follow the heat of battle. The main insertion point will be used by all players entering the field of play. If players exit the field of play for any reason, they must re-insert at the main insertion point. All re-insertions will be instant.

Gate Rules:

The Gate must be held straight-up in the hand of the Gate Keeper, for the re-insertion point to be active. That means it cannot be leaning against anything.

Players cannot re-insert at the Gate, unless the Gate is active. Hit players cannot wait for the Gate to go active and then re-insert, they must go back to the main insertion point.

The Gate cannot be laid on the ground, it must be leaned against something. If the Gate fails on the ground, the Gate goes off-line and must be carried back to the main insertion point for repair before it can be used again.

The Gate Keeper cannot shoot while holding the Gate; they must lean the Gate against something.

If a Gate Keeper is hit, the player must go back to the main insertion point. The Gate Keeper must leave the Gate leaning against something. Another player can pick up the Gate and become the new Gate Keeper.

If the Gate is hit by a paintball, the Gate goes off-line and must be carried all the way to the main insertion point to be repaired before it can be used again. The Gate Keeper can declare the Gate is off-line.

The opposing team’s Gate, can be captured. The Gate must be on-line to be captured.

To re-insert at the Gate, you must touch the Gate. You must remain behind the Gate for 30 seconds before you may re-insert. Use this time to wipe off your old hits before re-inserting.

If you are hit within 20’ of your Gate, you must go back to the main insertion point.

Any violation of the Gate rules will earn you a trip to the main insertion point.

Well it looks like it might rain this weekend; bo I hope not. I just spoke to Denise at velocity to see if she is open to pushing it back until the 30th.  What do you guys think, play in the rain or push it back?

Weather channel says 60% chance of rain, but I am just not feeling that its going to rain, maybe a little bit, how much should we trust the forecast?? Is it too late to postpone the game at this time anyway?
